Jessica Simpson ~ "Do You Know" Review

We're sure you're probably sick of hearing all about Jessica Simpson...the good, the bad, the ugly...all of it, it's plastered everywhere lately, but we're still going to give you our thoughts about it.

It's no secret that when it comes to Jessica, it's like we have multiple personalities! We like her, we hate her, we love her, we get mad at her...we just can't make up our mind. We're pulling for her, we really are...we want her to do well and we want to love her...but then she'll go and do something that just makes go running in the other direction!

Regardless of our prior thoughts, we were definitely looking forward to hearing the album in it's entirety. So yeah...it's ok, not great by ANY stretch of the imagination, but it's not horrible at all either. Lauren thinks her voice is stronger than it was on her last album, "A Public Affair" and she'll listen to the cd, but she's not sure she'll love it. I (Erin) think...mmm, not so much. I don't think I'll listen to it. There's 2 or 3 songs I'll listen to..."Come On Over," "Pray Out Loud," and "Do You Know"...but really, that's just about it. I just feel like she's being SO FAKE and she sounds SO FAKE...I want her to decide who she is and be that person! Whoever she is, that's ok...that's what we want! She's not Dolly Parton, she doesn't have a strong southern twang like she tried on the Grand Ole Opry, so stop trying to fake it and just be Jessica Simpson...because I think I'd like her!

Would we spend money on the album? Nope. But you should definitely head over to CMT and listen to it for yourself and make up your own mind...she at least deserves that!

Check out what Rolling Stone had to say about the album here...and then head on over to Entertainment Weekly and read their thoughts.

hmmm...I think Rolling Stone was incredibly kind (they are so inconsistant) and that EW was right on - they do seem kinda like hand-me-down songs that somebody already passed on. Obviously, I'm not crazy about it either - it's just so BORING!
