It seems like it's a good week for tear jerking videos around here! First it was Jake Owen melting our hearts and then Montgomery Gentry...this time it's Craig Morgan as he was invited to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. He, of course, accepted the invitation and will join the Opry family on October 25th. Congrats Craig, this obviously means the world to you!
Are you a Montgomery Gentry fan? If you are, then awesome, they're great guys...if you're not, well just watch this video and we're sure that you'll turn into one! Oh, and have a tissue handy...this is SUCH a heart-warming video. Kudos to MG for taking the time to remember what it's all about!
Much of the same songs compose the top 10 this week, but there has been some strong movement in the top 25. Here are some exciting highlights of this week's Billboard Country Chart...
- As we already told you, Brad Paisley has captured his 8th No. 1 in a row with "Waitin' On A Woman."
- After 21 weeks on the chart, Darius Rucker is still climbing steady, going from No. 5 to No. 3 this week with "Don't Think I Don't Think About It."
- Kenny Chesney breaks into the top 5 with "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" which moves from No. 6 to No. 5 in only it's 6th week on the chart.
- Luke Bryan is still climbing with "Country Man" after 27 weeks on the chart...he moves from No. 16 to No. 14 this week.
- Tim McGraw made a big jump this week from No. 20 to No. 15 with his current release "Let It Go."
- "Roll With Me" makes a huge leap this week for Montgomery Gentry...it lands at No. 19 from No. 26 last week.
- Bucky Covington finds himself in the top 20 this week where "I'll Walk" moved up from No. 21 to No. 20.
- Country newcomer Crystal Shawanda moved up to the No. 21 spot from No. 25 this week.
CMT.com has the premiere of the new Montgomery Gentry video. We're loving their new single, "Roll With Me." It's one of those songs that makes you think- and makes you realize that you should live every moment like it's your last.
The 1st single, "Don't Think I Can't Love You," from Jake Owen's forthcoming sophomore album is being released today through iTunes. The song, which was co-written by Jake, along with Kendal Marvel and Jimmy Ritchey, has already debuted on the Billboard charts at No. 50!
In other Jake news...you can now head on over to abc.com and watch Jake host five different webisodes from the CMA Music Fest that was held back in June in Nashville. Jake takes you through the nights of Nashville and what goes on after dark at the festival...he's joined by special guests, Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Chuck Wicks, Montgomery Gentry and more! If you were at the CMA Fest (like we were!,) it's a nice reflection of a great week...and if you weren't there, the webisodes will help convince you that you should be there next year! Absolutely a great time in Nashville and we can't encourage you enough to GO!
There was quite a celebration in Nashville on Tuesday afternoon for the boys of Montgomery Gentry and their connections...they all gathered, first at the ASCAP headquarters and then over at the BMI building, to celebrate Troy & Eddie's 4th and most recent No. 1 hit, "Back When I Knew It All." A proud Troy Gentry declared "It's just a great time for Montgomery Gentry. Our wings have finally come in, our plumage is here."
We love MG...they put on a fun, ROCKING show, all the while maintaining a down-to-earth attitude...and not to mention, Troy Gentry looks HOT in leather pants!!!
