Jessica Simpson held a listening party for 200 record industry professionals in Nashville on Thursday night. By Jessica's standards, the party was a success simply for the fact that she didn't throw up. At the beginning of the show, Jessica told the crowd "I'm a little nervous. If I throw up, I'm sorry"...and then ended the show by pronouncing "I didn't throw up!" Jessica played many songs from her upcoming album with a good reception from the crowd, which included her parents, Tina & Joe. Before leaving the stage, Jessica reminded the audience members that the CD will be available on 9/9...which just so happens to be a lucky number for her since Tony wears #9 on his Dallas Cowboys uniform...awwwwww!
Jessica made her first Opry appearance last night. Did you watch? We did, we were excited for her, but we kinda felt a little let down... she seemed so fake! Her "southern" accent seemed totally over exaggerated. We know she sounds southern sometimes, but this just seemed totally fake to us. We also noticed that her boobs looked a little odd... maybe just a little too overexposed.
Besides that, we thought her performance (the thing that matters most) was alright. Not amazing, not horrible, decent. She was probably really nervous last night too...We hope she didn't puke!
