Jessica Simpson appeared on Good Morning America today. Her performance was less than stellar this morning. She made it through her current single "Come on Over" with a few bumps in the road but nothing horrible (Video of it HERE). When it came time for "With You," one of her previous pop singles, she had to completely STOP her performance. She said, "Hold on, I know this is live TV but I can't hear anything" then asked the band to start the tune over again. You can see video of "With You" HERE. Obviously, this was a technical issue, nothing that Jessica did wrong...
A couple thoughts:1. What is she wearing? Normally, Jess has a pretty amazing sense of fashion, but we aren't feeling this outfit at all!
2. Why did she sing a pop song if she is trying to promote her country album?
3. Is it just us or does "Come On Over" sound totally different from when she performed it on the Opry last Saturday? Her performance on the Opry was much better than the one on GMA:
We try to be nice, we really do, but our feelings on Jessica are so mixed. One minute we like her and another we don't.

Ouch.
That hurt my ears.
Wasn't impressed with her performance. IMO it seemed at the beginning of "Come On Over" she tried to sound twangy and it just did not come out right. Her outfit for GMA was a miss too, but I did love her look at the Orpy!
I will give her kudos for doing a performance so early in the morning and that may have had some affect on her vocal performance.
