There was all kinds of exciting movement on the Billboard charts this week!
-Keith Urban inched his way from No. 2 into the No. 1 spot with "You Look Good In My Shirt"...we guess Keith's team made a smart move releasing this song even though it's not even on his current CD!
-Keith Anderson is knocking on Keith's door as he moved up one spot to No. 2 with the hugely popular "I Still Miss You." Does it have enough to reach the top spot?
-Kenny Chesney once again has the biggest gaining song of the week...in only it's 3rd week on the charts, "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" leaped from No. 13 to No. 6! With all of the momentum this song has had, it certainly seems destined for No. 1, but we'll have to wait and see on that.-Country newcomer Darius Rucker is still climbing with strength...his single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" jumped from No. 10 to No. 7. We're sure he's very excited about the success of his first country song!
-Finally, Kid Rock rounds out the top 10, moving up to No. 10 from No. 14 with his summer anthem "All Summer Long."
Interesting fact...Taylor Swift is the ONLY female in the top 10 this week...she slips from No. 1 to No. 5 with her single "Should've Said No."
Want to go inside Kellie Pickler's tour bus? How about Joe Nichols Meet & Greet? Or how about following Chuck Wicks on his adventure to take a shower?! People.com has a couple of great videos...click here to watch those moments. And when you get done watching that (and cracking up!!) go with Dierks Bentley as he takes you inside his tour bus, with Keith Anderson as he goes on stage, and with Lady Antebellum as they show you what's in their drawers! (Not THOSE drawers people...get your minds out of the gutter!!;))...that video is here (same link..just click above the first video!)
The past year has been a roller coaster ride for Keith Anderson. While working on his new album, Keith got the horrific news that is mother had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Coping with her diagnosis was especially difficult for Keith. He was spending most of his time promoting his current single, "I Still Miss You." He told The Tennessean, "After Mom got diagnosed with brain cancer, through that next six months everything about her was beginning to change," he said. "It wasn't the same Mom, and I was already missing who she was. And certainly, just recently she passed, and the song is even deeper. You can't question God, but it's like, 'Why can't "Beer Run" be my single right now or something that's fun and easy to sing?'" It's easy to see how difficult it could be for him to got out on stage singing something that hits so close to home for him.
The Tennessean also reported that Keith has found comfort in his band. Seven out of ten members of his band have lost their mothers in the past 2 and a half years! How is that even possible? We can't even imagine what kind of pain they must feel, but we know that music is probably what helps each of them through the tough times. "I had sacrificed so much in order to chase this, and I'm happy she got to see that happening. Hopefully she'll be watching from heaven and we'll keep growing and getting bigger and bigger," he told The Tennessean.
Keith's new album, "C'Mon!" was released today. His current single, "I Still Miss You" is blowing up the charts and currently sits at #6 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart.
Did you buy the album? What do you think? We have a feeling this album will do very well!

2. We are very excited for Sugarland's new one!!
3. We love Heidi Newfield's 1st solo single "Johnny and June"...we liked Trick Pony and were kind of sad when she left, but now we're thinking she just may have made the right move!
4. Two new Christmas albums...releases by Faith & King George...how can those CD's be anything less than fabulous?!?! But, UGH, we don't even want to think about Christmas right now!!
