On Sunday, July 27th, a horrible tragedy occurred inside a Knoxville, TN church when a gunman opened fire, killing two people. In the wake of such an unthinkable crime, country singer and former Alabama front man, Randy Owen will bring the comfort of music to the community during a concert held in Knoxville on Friday, August 15th. Randy says "It doesn't matter what your beliefs are, this was just a senseless act committed in a house of worship. I'm sure a lot of people will be stepping up to help, and we just wanted to do something to stand with these folks." Randy's concert will be held at the Cotton-Eyed Joe nightclub with an admission fee of $10 (21+) and $15 (ages 18 - 20) with all proceeds benefiting the families of the victims. Several other local bands have also pitched in and donated their time and talent to offer folks an afternoon filled with great music to be held at The Valarium on the same day...there will be no admission, but donations will gladly be accepted to benefit the church.

1. We like Taylor Swift, but how many times is her 1st album going to be re-released? She recently blogged about it on her MySpace. We are ready for some new Taylor tunes!!!
2. We are very excited for Sugarland's new one!!
3. We love Heidi Newfield's 1st solo single "Johnny and June"...we liked Trick Pony and were kind of sad when she left, but now we're thinking she just may have made the right move!
4. Two new Christmas albums...releases by Faith & King George...how can those CD's be anything less than fabulous?!?! But, UGH, we don't even want to think about Christmas right now!!
What about you guys? Is there any upcoming music that you can't wait to hear...or how about some that you think you can live without?
