Trisha Yearwood On Troubled Flight

Trisha Yearwood found herself in a scary situation last week. On her way home from the 3-day Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk, Trisha's flight had to make an emergency landing after one of the windows cracked. Trisha says "We had been in the air for almost an hour when we heard a loud pop. The flight attendant came back and told us to remain calm. That's when we saw the two pilots with the oxygen masks on. Hearing them breathe like Darth Vader made it a little harder to stay calm." The pilots were able to make a safe, emergency landing before the incident had a chance to take over control of the aircraft. Although the scene on the ground looked chaotic with emergency crews and firetrucks, no one was actually hurt in the incident.

"If I Could Write a Letter To Me"

Country artists Trisha Yearwood and LeAnn Womack are two of many well known women contributing to the new book, "What I Know Now: Letters to My Younger Self." The book was designed to showcase what women would say to themselves if they could go back 20 years. The book was what actually inspired Brad Paisley's hit, "Letter to Me." Brad's wife, Kimberly Williams Paisley, also added her letter to the book!

You can find "What I Know Now: Letters to My Younger Self" in bookstores as well as Amazon.com.

New Music From Trisha Yearwood

Trisha Yearwood's been a busy lady lately...on top of her new "Got Milk?" ad that will debut in print next week, Trisha just released a new single called "They Call It Falling For A Reason." The song is fun and has an upbeat, catchy tune to it...and Trisha just has such a classic voice that sets her apart from other artists. We like the song, but we're not blown away by it...we don't know, it just almost seems that all of her songs sound the same. We really do like her voice and she has some wonderful songs, but we're ready for something FABULOUS from her...she's got the powerful vocals so we're just waiting for something to blow us away! You can hear the song on her MySpace...let us know what you think...love it, hate it, or just ok?

Got Milk?!

Three-time Grammy Award winner, actor and cookbook author Trisha Yearwood is the latest star to sport the famous white got milk? 'stache.

After a busy day in the recording studio, Yearwood takes on the real-life role of helping raise three growing girls. With her country roots and childhood experiences on a Georgia farm that taught her to love milk, Yearwood makes sure it's part of her and her family's daily routine. She knows how important nutritious beverage choices such as lowfat or fat free milk are in maintaining a healthy weight, when combined with eating right and staying active.

Trisha's ad debuts in Family Circle, Fitness and Prevention Family on August 5, but we have a sneak peak for you!

Trisha Gives Back

Like so many country stars, Trisha Yearwood is always happy to give back to causes that she believes in. One of those causes is Cumberland Heights, an alcohol and drug treatment center located just outside of Nashville, TN. Trisha first learned of the center a few years back when she was asked to perform at a benefit concert, and in September, Trisha will yet again take the stage to help out the great cause. Trisha will headline the event on September 10 at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium. Tricia says "I always like to find things to be involved with in my own community, and they're such a great organization. Sometimes I have a personal connection, but sometimes, as in this case, I just really like what the organization is about and want to help out."

If you're interested in attending, you can purchase tickets through
Ticketmaster, the Ryman Box Office, or through Cumberland Heights.
