Life 'Peaceful' in Nashville for the Urbans

Brooks & Dunn member Ronnie Dunn tells People magazine that life is, and will continue to be, peaceful in Nashville for the Urban clan.

Ronnie said that he received a text message from
Keith Urban recently telling him of the craziness that's currently surrounding them. Of the text message, Ronnie says "He said she (Sunday Rose) thinks that every time they get in a car there's a rubber hailstorm from paparazzi cameras hitting the car. I offered to fly in a redneck SWAT team!"

The Urban's are currently in London where Nicole is shooting a film, but Ronnie predicts that things will quiet down once they return home to Nashville. He says "Nashville isn't oriented [toward celebrity.] It will be more peaceful for them here."
We bet they can't wait to get back to Nashville to settle down for a while!

Brooks & Dunn ~ Only In America

There's been a lot in the news lately about certain music being played at each political party's events...some artists aren't happy when a political figure uses their music since they may not want to either be affiliated with that political party, or they may not want to get involved at all. Such was not the case when Brooks & Dunn's "Only In America" was played at the Democratic Convention this week. Kix Brooks' remained neutral in his affiliation while expressing gratitude for the power of their music. Kix released an official statement that read "Seems ironic that the same song Bush used at the Republican Convention last election would be used by Obama and the Democrats now. Very flattering to know our song crossed parties and potentially inspires all Americans."

It was nice to read that they can remain appreciative of the attention of their music while still keeping their political views private...way to go guys!

Brooks & Dunn Get Their Star

Like we told you about on Sunday, Brooks & Dunn were to recieve their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame yesterday...well they did, and they were overwhelmed with pride! Kix said "I think people forget that Ronnie and I have dedicated our lives to music because originally we're such huge fans. To have your name on a star on Hollywood (Boulevard) seems so out of reach." We're big fans of Kix & Ronnie...Kix reminds us every single week on his ACC Top 40 Countdown that "there's no bigger fan of country music" than him...that's so humbling to hear that after all of their success, they still love the music as much as we do. We were lucky enough to meet Kix in Nashville back in June...so so SO nice and we were so excited to meet such a legend!

New B&D Video!!!

We LOVE Brooks & Dunn's "Put a Girl" in it! The song totally rocks- a perfect summer anthem! Kix and Ronnie just put out their BRAND NEW video for the song today!!

They sure put a
few girls in it!! Click HERE to watch it.

What do you think? It's something different for Brooks & Dunn- to have a bunch of hot chicks parading around in bikinis, but it works. It's a perfect summer song with a perfect summer video!

I See London, I See France...

I see Dierks Bentley's underpants!! Sigh. Just Kidding. It's a nice thought though! Anyways, so YES, this post does have a point!

Dierks Bentley is heading all around the globe before he winds down his tour this Fall in anticipation of the birth of his first baby. The tour will include many stops throughout the U.S. & Canada and then it will hop across the pond to Ireland, UK, Norway, France, and last but not least, JAPAN!!! We think this is a really cool thing for Dierks to do...we've heard from lots of International fans on many Country Music websites (wassup Germany, Turkey, UK...we see you checking out the blog and WE LOVE YOU - thanks for stopping by, leave us some comments!!) and the truth is, they're feeling left out. They hear the music, they love the music, but they want to FEEL THE MUSIC...there really is no better feeling than living the music at a live rockin' show and we're so excited that Dierks is spreading the love worldwide!!

Dierks isn't the only one touring the globe these days...our 2 favorite duo's, Sugarland and Brooks & Dunn, both recently performed shows for our friends down under in Australia!
