Well since there's lots of buzz about the upcoming CMT Tour with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, we thought we'd feature the show's opener, Eric Durrance for you!

Eric is a native of Tallahassee, FL and currently splits his time between there and Nashville. With strong family ties deep rooted in music, Eric feels quite at home in country music. Not only does he have the looks and the voice, Eric's talents run even deeper with his songwriting. Eric says "I'm really a songwriter first and I always put the song first." With that kind of enthusiasm about the music, we bet the fans will love his style!

Check out his website to listen to his music..."Angels Fly Away" is a GREAT, moving song and you should definitely give it a listen. If you're in the mood for something a little more comical, check out "Turn It Off"...we think the listeners will be able to see a lot of themselves in this song!

CMT Tour Preview

Lucky Nashville fans got to go to the Exit/In on Tuesday night and get a sneak peek at the upcoming CMT Tour. Lady Antebellum performed 4 songs and Jason Aldean performed 6 songs, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect when the tour kicks off on October 8th in N.C.

Chart Update

An interesting week as far as the No. 1 spot on the charts this week! Also a lot of slow and steady climbers, and finally some female action in the top 10!

- After reaching the top of the charts with "Do You Believe Me Now," Jimmy Wayne slipped back to the No. 2 spot last week. Well apparently he wasn't content with that spot, since he once again regains the No. 1 with his current hit!

- It seems like plenty of folks are hanging onto summer as long as they can with Kid Rock's hit "All Summer Long." That one moves into the top 5 this week landing at No. 5 from No. 6 last week.

- Carrie Underwood finally brings the female edge to the top 10 with "Just A Dream." That single moves up to No. 8 from No. 11 last week.

- Chuck Wicks makes a good jump from No. 18 to No. 14 with his current single "All I Ever Wanted."

- Lady Antebellum is still climbing with good momentum as they move up from No. 24 to No. 19 with their feel good song "Lookin' For A Good Time."

- Taylor Swift bursts onto the chart with "Love Story" which is the first release from her upcoming album, "Fearless." "Love Story" lands at No. 25 in it's very first week on the charts!

With only the help of singer, James Otto, and a strict end-of-concert deadline, will Michael have Music City whistling Dixie or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

Every week we post Lady Antebellum's new Webisode Wednesday...well imagine how excited we were to see that WE'RE IN this one!! At about 1:50 in the video, they zoom in on us during the Fan Club party in Nashville with our "Put Us On Webisode Wednesday" signs...YES, we're the ones jumping and screaming like fools! Yay, Lady A rocks...and OBVIOUSLY they think we do too!

CMT Tour Announced!

The 2008 CMT Tour has just been announced! Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum will be hitting the road October 4th. The 20 city tour will hopefully be coming to a city near you! (Lauren is sad that there are NO Florida dates!!!)

CMA Award Nominations

Nominees for the 42nd annual CMA Awards will be announced September 10th on ABC's Good Morning America. Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift will announce some of the nominees live from Times Square!

Immediately after GMA, a special edition of CMT Insider will air and Lady Antebellum along with James Otto will announce the full list of nominees.

The CMA Awards are set for November 12th at 8pm on ABC.

Loving Lady Antebellum

We absolutely love Lady Antebellum and we think it's just a matter of time until the whole world loves them too! Their popularity has certainly increased since May when they won the Academy of Country Music's Top New Group award and while we're excited that the industry is recognizing their amazing talent, we still want to introduce as many new fans to the group as we can. Another People Country Issue & TV Special

People released another country edition of it's magazine yesterday, August 8th...the magazine is available for a limited time only and will be pulled from shelves in 4 weeks. Just like the last time they ran a country issue, People is teaming up with CMT to make the pages come to life in a TV special. Airing TODAY on CMT at 10:30am, the special features exclusive, behind the scenes visits with Tim McGraw, Sara Evans and her husband, Jay Barker, Trace Adkins, Sheryl Crow, Randy Travis, Kix Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Jimmy Wayne and Craig Morgan. If you're not able to catch the show this morning, they'll be showing it again tomorrow at 2:00pm and again on Monday at 10:00pm.
