Kenny Chesney "Lucky Old Sun" Album Cover & Track Listing

They showed an ad the past two nights at the Kenny Chesney shows to promote Kenny's new album "Lucky Old Sun." The deluxe version of the album hits store on October 14th with the regular version available on October 21st. This picture isn't amazing, but here's a preview of what we are assuming is the album cover.

What do you guys think of the cover? Lauren thinks it's ok - typical Kenny album cover, but naturally cute! Erin can't get past the jeans...love love love him in jeans - add in the white t-shirt and hat, and I'm a happy girl! Now if he'd just have shown his bare feet, it would pretty much be heaven!

Here's the track listing of the regular CD:

  • I'm Alive (w/ Dave Matthews) - (Kenny wrote this song and Willie Nelson has a version on his CD, "Moment Of Forever" - awesome song!)
  • Way Down Here
  • Boats
  • Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven
  • Down The Road (w/ Mac McAnally - he wrote Kenny's hometown anthem "Back Where I Come From")
  • Spirit Of A Storm
  • Ten With A Two
  • The Life
  • Key's In The Conch Shell
  • Nowhere To Go, Nowhere To Be
  • That Lucky Old Sun (Just Rolls Around Heaven All Day) (w/ Willie Nelson)

Digital downloads on the deluxe version of the CD:

  • 2008 Poets & Pirates tour intro
  • "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" video

Kenny Chesney Review Jacksonville

Hey everyone, it’s Lauren. I’m back home in Orlando after an awesome Kenny Chesney road trip weekend. Altogether my trip was nearly 500 miles- and even with gas at over $3.50 a gallon (plus the cost of tickets), my trip was worth every single cent I spent. I thought to myself, as I drove to Jacksonville, how could it get any better than last night’s show in Tampa? Erin kept you updated on my adventures at the Tampa show- it was amazing- everything about the show was great and I totally thought that there was no way Kenny could top what he and the guys (plus Miranda) did in Tampa. I was wrong, so WRONG.

I guess you could say I’m a Kenny Chesney “expert.” I have seen him many times in many different types of venues- everything from a small bar that can hold about 2,000 people to a stadium of over 60,000. Last night was my 15th Kenny show- over the years things have changed about the show- the video, the lighting, the stage set up, the set list has changed little by little, but typically, each show is very similar with a few small exceptions. I mean, how can you change it that much, it’s the same performer with the same hit songs… I don’t expect it to change a lot from year to year because there is only so much he can do.

Of all the shows I have been to, (except for Chesney’s Keg in the Closet Tour- where he plays in small college bars), Jacksonville by far was the BEST show EVER. He really set last night apart from any show I have ever seen. Not only did he do all of the songs we know and love from his albums, he played tons of covers and had so much fun doing it.
He told the crowd that there was no curfew so he could play as long as he wanted. He wasn’t kidding- a crew member brought out a 2nd set list about half way through and I couldn’t believe my eyes. He played for nearly 3 hours! Like in Tampa, Uncle Kracker and Miranda Lambert joined Kenny on stage again to sing a few songs including “You Never Even Called Me By My Name,” “The Joker,” and “Three Little Birds.” Uncle Kracker stuck around to sing “Follow Me” and “Drift Away” with KC too.
He also brought out Tim Tebow- the Florida Gators quarterback. I must say, I am partial to my own school, the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!), but it's pretty awesome that Kenny has made a bond with Tebow over the past two years or so.
It was clear to see that Kenny was having a blast up there. He even busted out one of my ALL TIME favorite songs, “Lay You Down.” He said that it was his first time singing in 2008, but I think he sang it during this tour at least once already- but no complaints from this girl. When Kenny sings that Conway Twitty hit my heart just melts. I LOVE IT!!
From the moment Kenny took the stage, all 20,000 people were there to party. I found myself just trying to take the crowd in at many different points. I love to just turn around and watch everyone dance, sing, and scream. It’s just amazing to me to think that one man can bring so much joy to people’s lives. We all come from different facets of life- and people of all ages- but we were all united for nearly 3 hours JAMMING out at one big Chesney PARTY. It’s clear to see why Kenny is the reining Entertainer of the Year. He loves what he does and truly has his heart in it. It seems weird how music can affect my life so much, but it does. I can’t imagine a summer without seeing Kenny Chesney. It just wouldn’t be right.

Thank you so much Kenny and the crew for an amazing weekend. I am still in awe of what he did last night. Simply amazing.

Kenny Chesney Jacksonville

Of all of the Kenny Chesney shows I have ever been to tonight was by far one of the BEST. He played for nearly 3 hours- I have so much to talk about but I need some sleep!!! Review and PICS will come tomorrow... here's a teaser for you...

I have A LOT more to come tomorrow, but all I know is that tonight ROCKED. Kenny was AMAZING- I didn't think he could top last night in Tampa, but WOW- he totally brought down the house!!!! Thanks Kenny for an awesome weekend!!!

Brooks & Dunn ~ Only In America

There's been a lot in the news lately about certain music being played at each political party's events...some artists aren't happy when a political figure uses their music since they may not want to either be affiliated with that political party, or they may not want to get involved at all. Such was not the case when Brooks & Dunn's "Only In America" was played at the Democratic Convention this week. Kix Brooks' remained neutral in his affiliation while expressing gratitude for the power of their music. Kix released an official statement that read "Seems ironic that the same song Bush used at the Republican Convention last election would be used by Obama and the Democrats now. Very flattering to know our song crossed parties and potentially inspires all Americans."

It was nice to read that they can remain appreciative of the attention of their music while still keeping their political views private...way to go guys!

Faith Hill's Christmas Album

Faith Hill looks gorgeous (as always) on the cover of her new Christmas album, "Joy to the World." The album was originally slated for September 16th, but has now been pushed back to a September 30th release date.

Lady Antebellum Rocked Jimmy Kimmel

Lady Antebellum seriously ROCKS- there's no denying it! Here is their performance from Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night. Simply amazing!

Don't forget, Charles, Hillary, and Dave will be hitting the road this fall on the CMT tour with Jason Aldean. Click HERE for a full list of dates.

Jessica Simpson's Performance: "A Train Wreck?"

We came across this extremely harsh review of Jessica Simpson's performance in Niagara Falls, ON from Wednesday night. The critic called her performance "a train wreck." He is really negative and even goes on to call the show "bizarre and often frustrating." To read the entire piece, click HERE. If it was such a HORRIBLE show then why does THIS review not say anything negative?

At this point, we're starting to feel bad for her. We'd honestly like to read a review from someone who doesn't have any preconceived notions of Jessica. We can't imagine that she could be that bad? Her dress on the other hand, not so great.

Has anyone seen her live yet? What did you think?

The Show Is Over

Ok, the show has ended...Lauren said Kenny was on his game tonight and he told the crowd that they were the loudest crowd of the whole tour! Uncle Kracker made a surprise appearance and Miranda Lambert came back out at the end to sing (and dance - Lauren has cute pics!) with Kenny!

Kenny also added in "There Goes My Life," "The Joker," "Three Little Birds," and "You Never Even Called Me By My Name."

It was a fantastic show and Lauren can't wait for tomorrow - round 2! She'll be in here either later tonight or in the morning with a review and pictures for you guys!

Still Rockin!

Kenny Chesney is still rockin' Tampa! I'm sure Lauren will be calling with an update after the show, but for now I know that he's been singing such hits as "Keg In The Closet," "Woman With You," "I Go Back," and "Back Where I Come From." Lauren is front and center so no doubt she'll have some GREAT pictures to share!

Kenny Chesney Takes The Stage!

Kenny Chesney just took the stage - the place is ROCKIN'! Lauren says Kenny's looking good in his jeans, cowboy boots, tan/straw cowboy hat and grey "Hawaii" t-shirt (sleeveless of course!)

Miranda Lambert opened the show and got the crowd on their feet. Lauren said she was great - her only wish is that country radio would play more of Miranda's songs so that the crowd could be more in tune with every song.

Live Kenny Chesney Concert Update: Big Star Winner

In every city of this tour, Kenny Chesney has held "The Next Big Star" competition to showcase local talent...the winner of the competition gets to open HIS show in their home town. Tampa's winner was Eric VonHahmann and he's on the stage right now! Lauren said he's very, very good...he's working the crowd with a lot of confidence and rocking the arena...she's very impressed! As the winner of the competition, he's now in the running to open the final 3 shows of the Poets & Pirates tour, complete with his own tour bus, an audition with BNA Records, and $25,000...good luck Eric!

Live Updates From The Kenny Chesney Concert!

Lauren mentioned earlier that she was heading to the Kenny Chesney concert tonight...well here's an update of the current activities in Tampa...

*Weather is great...warm and sunny but not too hot

*The tailgaters are out in force - of course they are, it's a KENNY CHESNEY concert!

*WQYK is hosting their "WQYKenny" games along with karaoke - winners will receive ticket upgrades and M&G passes!

*They just interrupted their music that was playing live on the air to interview LAUREN about this website! WQYK is an AWESOME radio station and there's no doubt that they're putting on a great spread of FUN for the country fans!

I'll keep you posted with more updates throughout the evening!

LeAnn Rimes & Dean Renewing Vows

We were all wondering why LeAnn Rimes wasn't going to be at the Florida stops on the Poets & Pirates Tour with Kenny Chesney this weekend and now we know!
According to InTouch LeAnn and her husband of over six years, Dean Sheremet, are renewing their wedding vows tomorrow in Napa Valley. The couple first met when Dean was one of LeAnn's backup dancers- the rest is all history! Congrats to the happy couple!

Lauren's Chasin' Chesney

Hey everyone, it's Lauren, I just wanted to give y'all a heads up- I will be hitting up 2 of Kenny Chesney's tour stops in the Sunshine State this weekend. I'm heading to Tampa today and Jacksonville tomorrow. I promise to keep Erin updated so she can let everyone know what's going down. I am bringing along my camera and a new FLIP video camera to document all of the fun, so I will post pics and video on Sunday. I'm excited because Miranda Lambert will be at these stops with him instead of LeAnn Rimes, don't get me wrong, LeAnn is great, but I like to mix it up a bit! Have a great weekend!

Kellie Pickler: Simple Woman

Kellie Pickler recently sat down with OK! Magazine to discuss everything from makeup and fashion to relationships and gossip.

Kellie admits that she'd rather go without makeup. She told OK!, "I hate wearing makeup anyway – I don’t ever wear it unless I have to." After the interview, Kellie did a photo shoot and even had one of her best friends, Taylor Swift stop by for a few pics.

Kellie also told the mag that she is dating musician Kyle Jacobs and that she likes to lay low with him when she's at home. "When I come in off the road, I like to crash and be a bum and sit at home on the couch and just talk," says Kellie. "We don’t really have to be doing anything. We usually just enjoy each other’s company and make each other laugh." So we guess Kellie is off the market now too!

Chart Update

There was all kinds of exciting movement on the Billboard charts this week!

-Keith Urban inched his way from No. 2 into the No. 1 spot with "You Look Good In My Shirt"...we guess Keith's team made a smart move releasing this song even though it's not even on his current CD!

-Keith Anderson is knocking on Keith's door as he moved up one spot to No. 2 with the hugely popular "I Still Miss You." Does it have enough to reach the top spot?

-Kenny Chesney once again has the biggest gaining song of the week...in only it's 3rd week on the charts, "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven" leaped from No. 13 to No. 6! With all of the momentum this song has had, it certainly seems destined for No. 1, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

-Country newcomer Darius Rucker is still climbing with strength...his single "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" jumped from No. 10 to No. 7. We're sure he's very excited about the success of his first country song!

-Finally, Kid Rock rounds out the top 10, moving up to No. 10 from No. 14 with his summer anthem "All Summer Long."

Interesting fact...Taylor Swift is the ONLY female in the top 10 this week...she slips from No. 1 to No. 5 with her single "Should've Said No."

Jessica Simpson in People Magazine

Jessica Simpson graces the cover of the new People Magazine this week. Inside Jessica opens up about her relationship with Tony Romo and professes that Tony is "the love of her life." She also talks about her very public split from John Mayer and a little about her new country album. Jessica even admits that she recently changed her phone number and e-mail address to cut off all connections with her exes. You can pick up your copy on newsstands today.

Country Stars Featured In Soundtrack

In early October, there will be a film released showcasing Reverend Billy Graham's life called Billy: The Early Years. To go along with that film, a soundtrack will be released that includes songs featuring Alan Jackson, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, and Josh Turner. Josh Turner will also make his film debut as he plays Graham's musical partner, George Beverly Shea.

The soundtrack will be released on October 7th, with the film opening just a couple of days later on October 10th.

Taylor Swift is Excited for Grey's!

Taylor Swift recently expressed her love for Grey's Anatomy. "I am obsessed with ‘Grey's Anatomy’," Taylor told GAC. "It's my life goal to get a guest spot on that show. My love of ‘Grey's Anatomy’ has never wavered. It's my longest relationship to date."

We LOVE us some Grey's Anatomy too! You can bet we will both be camped out near the TV on September 25th to see what happens during the season premiere of the show!

Speaking of Taylor, the blonde beauty graces the cover of the September 8th issue of Country Weekly! Be sure to pick up a copy for an in-depth Taylor interview!

Every Friday morning you can hear us on the Mike, April, & Randy show!

Blake Shelton Announces Tour With Miranda Lambert

Blake Shelton appeared at a No. 1 party for his song, "Home," on Monday in Nashville...and although the party was aimed to celebrate the success of the single, there was also some more exciting news in the room.

Blake told the crowd that he and girlfriend, Miranda Lambert, will tour arenas together this fall. Blake told the crowd "It's exciting and it's really scary for me at the same time...I'm not opening for Rascal Flatts anymore or Toby (Keith.) You've got to hope that I'm enough and she's enough, and I finally feel like we're there. It's that much more exciting that she's taking that step with me."

Dates, locations, and ticket details of the tour will be announced soon!

Listen UP!

It's Thursday! Time for this week's Listen UP post! This week, we'd like to introduce you to Ryan Weaver. He's trying to make his way to Nashville from a small town in Citrus County, Florida- (Lauren's hometown). Ryan has a very interesting story to tell about his military service, the loss of his brother, and how these things affect his music career as well as his day to day life.

We think you should head on over to his
MySpace and check out a few of his songs and read his bio. Our favorite song is "Nineteen" (great lyrics too) but they are all good! "Talkin' Part" is a FUN song!

What did you think?

Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You...

We have quite a few country birthdays today! Shania Twain turns 43 and....

LeAnn Rimes turns 26... PLUS,

Jake Owen is celebrating his 27th birthday today!

Tim McGraw Sets Greatest Hits #3 Release Date

Tim McGraw just announced the release date of his third Greatist Hits album. You can pick up your copy on October 7th, but Amazon is already taking orders! Here is the track listing according to Amazon.com: • "Back When" • "Last Dollar (Fly Away)" • "If You’re Reading This" • "Do You Want Fries With That" • "Unbroken" • "Can’t Be Really Gone" • "Angry All The Time" • "Suspicions" • "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" (with Tracy Lawrence) • "Let It Go" • "Real Good Man" • "9 Lives" (with Def Leppard)

We are excited about the album, but a little confused about "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" because it's listed as with Tracy Lawrence- what about Kenny Chesney? We hope they include the track with all three artists!

American Idol's Country Connection

American Idol, the mega-hit TV competition that has given us Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, and Josh Gracin, announced this week that they'll add a new judge to the panel this season. Kara DioGuardi will join Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell as the judges for this season...and although she has yet to have a big-time country hit, she has spent time writing songs for Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and country crossovers, Jewel and Jessica Simpson.

Who knows...maybe she'll give a bigger voice to country music during this season's competition!

Rascal Flatts ~ Greatest Hits Album Cover

We recently told you about Rascal Flatts' upcoming Greatest Hits CD, Greatest Hits: Volume 1, that will be released this fall. Well now the boys have releaed the album cover for the project...what do you think? We think it's a little bland...a little too blah! It seems like a Greatest Hits CD should be a big celebration...something exciting, something with a little more fan fare...but this cover doesn't seem to match that! We already know that the music inside is a HIT...Plus, a lot of people now buy albums online through outlets such as ITunes, so does the cover even matter anymore??

New Webisode Wednesday!

Stay tuned for a full video and single review from a GUEST blogger!! We'll bring you the review within the next few days!

Stars Honor Bradley Family

Jerry Bradley, Connie Bradley and Patsy Bradley and Harold Bradley (above)
Nashville's most famous music family, the Bradley's, were honored last night in Music City. Kenny Chesney, Ronnie Milsap, Kellie Pickler, Le Ann Womack, and Gretchen Wilson were all on hand to perform and watch as the family was presented with the Dale Franklin Leadership Award, which is presented in recognition of "the highest quality of leadership and leading by example."
Members of the Bradley family include two members of the Country Music Hall of Fame, Owen (pictured above, left, working with Patsy Cline) & Harold Bradley. The brothers opened the very first recording studio on what is now known as Music Row. Owen, who passed away in 1998 and was a legendary producer in the country music business, and his brother, Harold, a session musician, worked with the likes of Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and many, many others. Their roots continue on in the Nashville music industry...Owen's daughter, Patsy, is the former Assistant Vice President of BMI, and his son, Jerry, had a long career as an executive at RCA and the Opryland Music Group/Acuff-Rose Music Publishing. Jerry's wife, Connie, is the current Senior Vice President at ASCAP.
The event was held at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel and was hosted by Brenda Lee.

Jessica Simpson Joins the CMA

While in Nashville last week, Jessica Simpson became a member of the Country Music Association. Along with over 6,000 songwriters, musicians, and other country music personnel, Jessica joins acts such as Willie Nelson, Keith Urban, Faith Hill as members of the CMA.

An onlooker told E! News, "She was very sweet and seemed happy to join the organization," a Simpson source said. "Being a member makes you part of the industry. It’s great for networking."

There are many perks that come with being a member, such as special rate health insurance, but a major perk of being part of the CMA means that Jessica is now able to have a say in CMA nominations and awards. Could she have say in this year's awards? We're not sure, but she seems like she is making a point to make country music a major part of her life.

Speaking of Jessica, we just read
Natasha Bedingfield's latest MySpace blog. Natasha mentions Jessica's new album as one to look out for. She writes, "I'm not joking, look out for this one. I heard some of her new album and I was blown away. Country music is what jess should have been doing all along. When she sings these songs you feel them."

Jessica's first country album, "Do You Know" hits stores on September 9th- Just 2 weeks away!

Dolly Parton Is NOT Dead

Rumors of Dolly Parton's death circulated over the weekend and fans were not happy. People were saying that Dolly had died from congestive heart failure, but that was NOT the case. A few news organizations actually reported that Dolly had died. They clearly didn't check their sources because Dolly is alive and kicking!

Dolly told Nashville television station WKRN, "I’m fine. I did about have a heart attack when I found out I was dead. But I am feeling better than ever." Gotta love Dolly's sense of humor!

Tune In Tonight!

Lady Antebellum and James Otto are set to appear on TV tonight!

~James Otto will appear on Dinner: Impossible on the Food Network at 10 pm (Eastern).
Here's a small description of the show from the Food Network's website:

Grand Ole Opry Obstacles
~ Chef Michael Symon takes the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to serve 300 country music fans and musicians a meal inspired by the country classic "Devil Went Down to Georgia." With only the help of singer, James Otto, and a strict end-of-concert deadline, will Michael have Music City whistling Dixie or will this be Dinner: Impossible?

James Otto also blogged about his appearance on the show. Click HERE to check it out!

~Lady Antebellum will appear on ABC's
Jimmy Kimmel Live at 12:05 (Eastern).

We love seeing the country stars on the tube!!!

College Colors Day 2008

Over the past few years, country music stars have partnered with College Colors Day to spread the word about showing support for your favorite college. Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley supported College Colors Day in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

This year, Toby Keith has joined in! Toby's picture appears in college bookstores everywhere this week in support of the event. This Friday, August 29th, NCAA fans all around the country will wear their colors in support of their all time favorite school.

New Montgomery Gentry Video

CMT.com has the premiere of the new Montgomery Gentry video. We're loving their new single, "Roll With Me." It's one of those songs that makes you think- and makes you realize that you should live every moment like it's your last.

Keith Urban Injured

Keith Urban's publicist has confirmed that Keith is suffering from a slipped disc...no further details about the injury were made available, but his publicist says that it will NOT affect Keith's upcoming schedule. He will head to Canada for a show this weekend and then be in NYC next week for a couple of events.

Sexiest Woman In Country Music

A couple of weeks ago, we directed you to the Country Weekly poll for the "Sexiest Man In Country Music." Well now it's the ladies turn to take center stage...click here to vote for your choice!

Erin's pick:
Sara Evans

Lauren's pick: Shania Twain - she brought a new version of SEXY to country music back in the day!

Go over to their site and vote, but leave us a comment and let us know who got your vote!

Trisha Yearwood On Troubled Flight

Trisha Yearwood found herself in a scary situation last week. On her way home from the 3-day Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk, Trisha's flight had to make an emergency landing after one of the windows cracked. Trisha says "We had been in the air for almost an hour when we heard a loud pop. The flight attendant came back and told us to remain calm. That's when we saw the two pilots with the oxygen masks on. Hearing them breathe like Darth Vader made it a little harder to stay calm." The pilots were able to make a safe, emergency landing before the incident had a chance to take over control of the aircraft. Although the scene on the ground looked chaotic with emergency crews and firetrucks, no one was actually hurt in the incident.

New Music From Jake Owen

The 1st single, "Don't Think I Can't Love You," from Jake Owen's forthcoming sophomore album is being released today through iTunes. The song, which was co-written by Jake, along with Kendal Marvel and Jimmy Ritchey, has already debuted on the Billboard charts at No. 50!

In other Jake news...you can now head on over to
abc.com and watch Jake host five different webisodes from the CMA Music Fest that was held back in June in Nashville. Jake takes you through the nights of Nashville and what goes on after dark at the festival...he's joined by special guests, Luke Bryan, Chris Young, Chuck Wicks, Montgomery Gentry and more! If you were at the CMA Fest (like we were!,) it's a nice reflection of a great week...and if you weren't there, the webisodes will help convince you that you should be there next year! Absolutely a great time in Nashville and we can't encourage you enough to GO!

Tim McGraw To Headline Nashville Event

It has just been announced that Tim McGraw will headline and host the 2009 Country Radio Seminar 40 Music City Jam that will be held at the Nashville Convention Center. The Academy of Country Music sponsored event is an annual convention that's held to educate and promote the exchange of ideas within the country music industry. The event will take place on March 4th, 2009.

Dancing With The Stars

ABC's hit show, Dancing With The Stars, has just announced it's current lineup, and there will be no country star on the show this season...at least not on the non-professional side of the ballroom! After seeing Sara Evans on the show, we had for some more country representation to pair up with a pro...maybe George Strait...or how about Kellie Pickler? No. And no. At least not this season. Country music will still be represented in the show though...country singer, professional dancer and 2-time DWTS champ, Julianne Hough will return to the competition and will be paired up with 18-year old actor, Cody Linley.

More Political Events, More Country Performances

You can add Joe Nichols' name to the list of performers who will be showcasing country music at various political events within the next couple of weeks. Joe will be performing at a concert on 9/2 in Minneapolis, MN as part of the bipartisan event, Grammys Rock The Convention. Although this particular event is being held in conjuction with the Republican National Convention, the same event will also take place at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO. The events aim to educate politicians on issues that affect music and musicians.

Over at the Red Rocks ampitheater outside of Denver, CO, Sugarland performed yesterday as part of "Green Sunday At Red Rocks," an event designed to spotlight Denver's environmental record. That event was held in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention.

Darryl Worley Performs At Wal-Mart

Darryl Worley took some time to perform for fans at an Arkansas Wal-Mart yesterday. Shoppers were treated to a 30-minute set by Darryl including his current single "Tequila On Ice," as well as hits "Awful Beautiful Life," "I Miss My Friend," and the 9/11 tribute, "Have You Forgotten." He also threw in a few songs from his upcoming album and held a M&G with fans after his performance.

Brandy Goes Just A Little Bit Country

Pop and R&B singer Brandy is releasing a new album...and although she has no plans to head to the country genre, you will find just a little bit of twang on her new album. Brandy's producer, Rodney Jerkins says "It's definitely a big pop-sounding album, international sounding. But she hits a little bit on the country side. Vocally, she does a lot of little country twangs with her voice. We kid around, we joke around that the next album is gonna be country. We're both gonna step out and do some country music. But we're kinda tapping into it, to show that you can mix that sound with urban and R&B and hip-hop. It's just music, and good music lives."

That's pretty cool...it's nice to see some country being mixed in with those genres to create good music!

Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You...

Two country music artists are celebrating birthdays today...Jo Dee Messina and Billy Ray Cyrus!
