Jessica Simpson's Performance: "A Train Wreck?"

We came across this extremely harsh review of Jessica Simpson's performance in Niagara Falls, ON from Wednesday night. The critic called her performance "a train wreck." He is really negative and even goes on to call the show "bizarre and often frustrating." To read the entire piece, click HERE. If it was such a HORRIBLE show then why does THIS review not say anything negative?

At this point, we're starting to feel bad for her. We'd honestly like to read a review from someone who doesn't have any preconceived notions of Jessica. We can't imagine that she could be that bad? Her dress on the other hand, not so great.

Has anyone seen her live yet? What did you think?

I saw her back in 2005 when she was still in the "pop" world. Umm lets see she was fairly ditzy. She actually ran into one of the wires that was hanging from the celling that was connecting something to the stage and stopped singing and laughed for 5 minutes. But that made me think well at least she doesn't lip sync.

But I'm still not 100% sold on her being a country act. I'd have to see her again.

I haven't seen her live, so I have no opinion on that. I certainly would give her the benefit of the doubt.

However, I'm pretty shocked by the ticket prices for her upcoming show in the Seattle area. The show is at a casino. The good seats are $175 a pop. The cheapest seats are $75. I have no problem spending a lot of money on good seats for concerts, but I've been to very few shows with ticket prices that high, even when superstars are involved (festivals don't count, of course). Jessica Simpson is not a superstar, especially in the country world. I'm amazed that someone so new to the genre, playing at a relatively obscure venue, would expect to be able to sell tickets for so much. Like I said, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, but not at $175 (plus Ticketmaster charges) per person...
