Keith & Nicole Ask Paps To Step Back

In their typical, respectful ways, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have asked the media to step back just a little bit. Since they have yet to release a photograph of their month old daughter, Sunday Rose, they fear that photographers are getting too close while trying to capture the first images of their little one. While they understand the interest, it's still a scary thing to have so many crazed people trying to capture photos of their newborn.

Keith & Nic called in to a local Sydney radio station yesterday to chat about their little girl. Of all the media attention, Nicole said "Keith and I are just appealing to the press to give us a little space so we can walk around Sydney and show the baby our town. Just a little bit because she's tiny, she's not a doll, she's a real little thing. Just not right in our face or her face because it's scary for her, she's tiny." Keith added "I get the interest in it, I get that - but at the same time, it's our little girl and I think sometimes when people come right up in our face and you think, 'Good God, would you do that to anybody else's child?'"

While gushing about baby Sunday, a proud Nicole added that "She looks like Keith. She's got a little bit of hair...It has a bit of a reddish tinge."

Keith and Nicole are obviously very proud of their little one and it seems like they're also remaining respectful of the media attention. It's nice to see them accepting it and being polite while still declaring their boundaries. It must be such an exciting time for them to go home with their daughter and show her their roots and the rest of their family!

You can listen to the entire radio interview with Keith and Nicole here.
