Sugarland Lawsuit Update
We first told you about the Sugarland lawsuit last week. (Sugarland's former member, Kristen Hall, filed a lawsuit for $1.5 million for her share of the profits). At the time, their attorney had no comment on this case, but today, he released a statement to CMT.com. He called the lawsuit, "totally baseless and without merit." He also said, "Among other factual inaccuracies suggested in the complaint, it is indisputable that Ms. Hall left the group voluntarily and on her own accord. We are absolutely confident that this matter will be resolved in favor of Jennifer and Kristian."
We hope this gets worked out soon! Jennifer and Kristian don't need anything raining on their parade!!! The success of their recent album "Love on the Inside" is setting records!! We are so happy for them!
What do you think??

It is so unfortunate that the more success an artist has, the more they have to deal with garbage like this. I wish people could just be happy for others' success and GET OVER IT ALREADY! Envy is ugly.
I agree, envy and jealousy is a big part here. Bands split up all the time and you don't hear of anyone receiving money other than royalties after leaving. She made a decision ( I'm sure she realizes a bad one now) and she has to move on and leave this AWESOME DUO alone!!! They have earned all the recognition, fame and money they have. Gena
