Taylor Swift Surprises Concert Goers
Taylor Swift was in Iowa on Friday night to perform a concert in the town of Cedar Rapids which was heavily damaged by floods two months ago. The town has suffered millions of dollars in damages as well as thousands of job losses, and the devastation has been so high that the flood has been dubbed as "Iowa's Katrina." In thanks to the Iowa residents for giving her a sold out show, Taylor announced during the show that she'd be donating $100,000 to the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Taylor tells People "They've stood by me, they gave me a sold out show. You've got to pay it forward in life, and that's what I'm doing here tonight." Taylor seems mature beyond her 18 years...kudos to her for helping the folks of Iowa when they so desperately need it. You can check out pictures of the flooding and help donate to the flood victims here.
