Fans Strive to Help Promote Their Favorite Artists

We've noticed that street teams are popping up EVERYWHERE lately! Many up and coming artists such as Chuck Wicks, Luke Bryan, and Eric Church have well established street teams, but some fans are still trying to figure out exactly what it is or how much time it actually takes.

You may ask, what exactly is a street team? I "googled it" for us. According to Wikipedia,
a street team is a term used in marketing to describe a group of people who 'hit the streets' promoting an event or a product. So there ya go. Basically it's a very devoted group of fans who help spread the word about their favorite artists.

Anyway, while in Nashville for the CMA Fest, we noticed the most powerful street team
ever- Chris Young fans! They were everywhere- handing out fliers and writing on the sidewalks with chalk to help get his name out there. We were so surprised to see that these fans were that dedicated! It's really awesome! (Chris Young, if you are reading, you have some great fans!!!) Even the more established artists such as Phil Vassar and Dierks Bentley have fans who go the extra mile to help promote them!

We think it's just awesome that the fans are willing to spend their extra time helping these artists! Just another reason why country music fans are THE BEST!!!
If you are interested in joining a street team, check MySpace or Facebook. Most of them have very active profiles and would LOVE for more fans to join!
